The Blue Myrtle Cactus is a unique plant that can easily thrive in the correct conditions. This plant requires bright light, younger plants should have less bright direct light than older plants. During the winter this cactus should receive less light as it will go into hibernation. As with most types of cacti, this cactus should be kept in well-draining soil and should be water once every two weeks. During the winter waterings should be less frequent due to hibernation. One must be careful to not overwater this cactus as overwatering can cause health problems. Prefers humidity around 30% and temperatures around 70°F.
